ANDY TIMMONS and MARTIN MILLER talk guitar

On 21 October 2015, GuitarMania and Ibanez Germany teamed up to record a jam and conversation session with ANDY TIMMONS and MARTIN MILLER. This is part one of a three-parts series of videos we conducted with Andy on that day. We will be publishing an interview with Andy answering readers' questions, and a video of Andy running us through his pedal board's signal chain in the forthcoming weeks. JENS LARSEN "Jazz Chord Essentials - Drop 2 voicings part 1"

In my fourth lesson, I want to demonstrate a set of voicings that are fairly easy to play on the guitar and very useful for playing chords with extensions. I also want to talk a bit about how you approach playing chords in terms of interpretation of chord extensions, substitutes, connecting or voice-leading the chords. Hopefully it can help you learn and construct some new chords, and I hope it also helps you find new ways to play songs you already know and expand your ability to play chords freely.
